Porcellionides pruinosis “Oreo Crumble”

Porcellionides pruinosis “Oreo Crumble” is a black and white color morph of the popular powder blue isopod resembling an oreo cookie(hence the name). Porcellionides pruinosis is native to the Mediterranean but have through popular trade routes spread throughout the world. These small to medium-bodied isopods prefer the surface of the soil, growing to a size ranging from 1/4” to 1/2”. Once established in your setup, they reproduce rapidly, enhancing your collection. Porcellionides pruinosis tend to feature a distinctive white powdery coat over their base color. Known for their speed, they’re one of the fastest isopod species around. Their soft exoskeletons add to their appeal, rendering them an irresistible occasional snack for your pets.
