Our journey with isopods began when we started keeping dart frogs. After years of research and active involvement with organizations like SCADS (the Southern California Dendrobatid Society), we were introduced to the vital role isopods play as part of the cleanup crew in a bioactive vivarium. From there, what started as a practical tool for frog husbandry turned into its own fascination.

Today we cultivate over 20 species, from hardy beginner isopods to more demanding exotic varieties. We breed for quality, not quantity. If a particular colony isn’t thriving, we won’t sell from it – full stop. Our animals come first.
