Armadillidium maculatum “Zebra” are named for their unique coloring that resembles the zebra. They establish moderately quickly in a vivarium and will be a great clean up crew once established. They are native to Northern Europe. Their hard, calcified exoskeleton provides a great source of calcium for your larger reptile, amphibians and invertebrates, but not poison dart frogs. However, isopod enthusiasts tend to not keep these with predators, but more as a pet because of their stripes and variability.
Our isopods are fed a delectable feast of nature’s finest ingredients that include freshly harvested carrots, zucchini, pumpkin, and squash. But we don’t stop there. To ensure their optimal health and vitality, we complement their vegetable delights with a specially crafted blend of Repashy products, including Bug Burger, Morning Wood, as well as Supreme Isopods Isopod Chow. We also provide them with bee pollen and calcium , nutrients that promote growth and enhance reproduction.
